September 16, 2015
A new gas-lift compressor station in the shallow area of the Guneshli field in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea reached full capacity in mid-August.
The station, which was put into operation earlier this year, now produces 0.1 Bcfd (3 X 106 m3/d) of natural gas, said the State Oil Co. of Azerbaijan (SOCAR).
Three compressor units are constantly in gas-lift operation, providing compressed gas for all the wells in the field, the company said. The station was constructed in 2009, and sits at a depth of 285 ft. (87 m).
